Money transfer comparison

The cheapest way to send money abroad, in one number.

The fee is not the cost. Most providers hide their charge inside the exchange rate. Enter what you want to send and Fliptik ranks every route by the only figure that matters — what actually arrives.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to send money abroad?

For most routes a digital specialist beats a bank. Banks typically take 3–5% inside the exchange rate plus a flat wire fee, while services such as Wise or Revolut convert close to the mid-market rate and charge a visible fee. On a $1,000 transfer the difference is usually $30–50.

Why do 'no fee' transfers still cost money?

Because the cost moves into the exchange rate. A provider advertising zero fees converts at a rate a few percent below the mid-market rate, so the charge is hidden in the amount that arrives. Comparing the received amount is the only reliable test.

How much should an international transfer cost?

A competitive transfer costs roughly 0.4% to 1% of the amount all-in. Anything above 3% means you are paying a bank-style exchange-rate markup, and on regular transfers that adds up to hundreds a year.

Is this comparison a live quote?

The exchange rate is live. Fees and markups are modelled from each provider's published pricing, so treat the totals as accurate estimates for comparison and confirm the final figure at the provider's checkout before you send.

Do you charge anything for this?

No. The comparison is free and needs no account. Some outbound links are partner links, which never change the price you pay. Fliptik Pro ($5/mo) adds rate alerts, saved routes and the income tools.

A money tool built for freelancers paid in foreign currencies

Generic budgeting apps assume one currency and a salary. Freelancers and digital nomads live in a messier world: a client in New York pays in USD, a retainer in Berlin pays in EUR, rent is due in a third currency, and every conversion quietly shaves a few percent off the total. Fliptik is built for exactly that.

  • Log in any currency — 160+ currencies, each entry converted to your home currency at live mid-market rates.
  • Real monthly picture — income, expenses, net, savings rate and an annualised projection from your own numbers.
  • Invoices that travel — a clean PDF with your details, the client's, and a dated exchange-rate note.
  • Fee awareness — see when income sits in a currency you don't spend in, before the bank takes its cut.
  • Private by default — free-tier data is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
